PENS DOWN CAMPAIGN MOVES TO KARIEGA IN NELSON MANDELA BAY.

The Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) cordially invites media representatives to its Anti-Pens Down Campaign, aimed at discouraging the harmful culture of post-examination parties among learners.

As the end-of-year examinations approach, ECLB intensifies its efforts to raise awareness about the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption and related risks associated with Pens Down parties.

Kariega, notably Kwanobuhle Township, exhibits concerning trends in underage drinking and non-compliant liquor trading, highlighting the need for targeted measures to address these issues.

ECLB is extremely concerned with the growing cases of Pens Down parties that are being coordinated by learners to celebrate the end of the examinations. It has, therefore, become necessary for ECLB to embark on a concerted effort to raise awareness and educate learners about this detestable behaviour.
