SCAM ON EASTERN CAPE LIQUOR BOARD’S PHASING OUT OF TEMPORARY LICENSES TO ALLOW TRADING DURING LOCKDOWN
The Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) is warning liquor traders about a scam that advises them that it is phasing out temporary license agreements to allow trading during the lockdown for a few outlets in hotspots areas and, further urging them to apply and to pay the scam’s Net Pay master an amount of R150 using the Standard Bank Account.
We want to unequivocally warn everyone that comes across this message that it is a scam, Eastern Cape Liquor Board has not issued any such communication to liquor traders. Besides, ECLB has got its own official channels of interacting with its liquor traders, which all liquor traders are aware of. We plead with all our liquor traders to ignore this message/scam.
For further clarities regarding this matter, please contact ECLB Spokesperson, Mgwebi Msiya at 060 501 6418, email Mgwebi.msiya@eclb.co.za
