MRS NTSIKI PAKADE — Is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the Law Society of Good Hope. She has 19 years’ post-admission experience. She runs a legal firm for her own account; the firm has been in existence for the past 10 years. She has practised with various legal firms as a partner and Director for the past 19 years. She has the following Educational qualifications: B. Juris. and LLB degrees (University of Fort Hare), Diploma in Project Management, Diploma in Management Studies, Higher Diploma in Labour Law, Certificate in Legal Practice from the Law Society of the Cape of Good Hope. Currently studying towards LLM degree with the University of Fort Hare.  Ntsiki Pakade was as a full-time tutor of the Interpretation of Statutes at the University of Fort hare from 1994 — 1996 and is now a Lecturer on part-time basis offering labour law. In 2018 – 2019 she lectured at the University of Fort Hare in the Faculty of law. She is renowned for her expertise in the field of employment laws, administrative law and commercial law both in the legal fraternity and business circles (Corporate clients and government clients). She has 17 years of uninterrupted experience of practice in the field of Labour law and has been a facilitator of labour law short courses and diplomas for over seventeen years. Ntsiki Pakade has been engaged in various government projects to advise on government partnerships and assist with the establishment of legal entities for such partnerships. The work included corporate governance advice and training on the same subject. Ntsiki Pakade’s Diverse skills and experiences in the interpretation of statutes has seen her being engaged by a number of municipalities and Government Departments to facilitate workshops on the interpretation and application of various legislations relevant to their practice. Such statutes include and are not limited to the following:

  • Municipal Finance Management Act/Public Finance Management Act- this would include the treasury guidelines as well;
  •  Supply Chain Management Act and including dealing with how the impacts on Preferential Procurement and vice versa.
  • The Municipal Systems Act;
  • Municipal Structures Act
