EASTERN CAPE LIQUOR BOARD TO HOST A YOUTH SEMINAR IN COFFEE BAY TO ALLEVIATE THE ABUSE OF ALCOHOL AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE
Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) in collaboration with other stakeholders will host a Youth Seminar in Nenga Village, Coffee Bay as part of the closure of the Youth Month.
Coffee Bay is engulfed in escalating rate of crime which is attributed to rampant abuse of alcohol by young people. The area is also ravaged by high levels of youth unemployment, which is also cited as a reason for the increase in the abuse of alcohol in the area.
ECLB has taken a decision to undertake an awareness campaign in the area through a Youth Seminar so as to sensitise young people to the dangers of excessive consumption of alcohol.
ECLB together with other stakeholders will also use the opportunity to listen to challenges of young people in the area and potential solutions to the abuse of alcohol, including offering alternatives to the extreme reliance on alcohol.
You are, therefore, cordially invited to join ECLB in its alcohol abuse awareness campaign.
The details of the event are as follows:
