EASTERN CAPE LIQUOR BOARD TO HOST A SPORTS TOURNAMENT TO ALLEVIATE ALCOHOL ABUSE

In its endeavours to reduce alcohol abuse among young people, Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) will host a sports tournament in Majola village, Port ST John’s near the tea plantation.
Alcohol abuse among young people continues to be a problem in our communities, and ECLB seeks to use sport to intensify its messages on the dangers of excessive consumption of alcohol by young people.

Majola village is reportedly experiencing rising cases of alcohol abuse, which often result in serious crimes. On the day, the Board will hand over sporting kits to winning clubs. Sporting codes will include Soccer and Netball.
