Eastern Cape Liquor Board in partnership with the South African Breweries will hand over a sum of R100 000 to two community-based organizations in Port St John’s and Engcobo. This is part of the Eastern Cape Liquor Board and SAB’s endeavor to support communities with a view of alleviating the scourge of alcohol abuse by providing an alternative to communities that will keep them away from temptations of alcohol abuse.
The two key beneficiaries are Abasuki Tannery Primary Co-operative and Mayihlome Liyana Foundation from Port St John and Engcobo, respectively.
We, therefore, invite media to this auspicious occasion during which each cooperative will receive R50 000 to support their poverty alleviation projects.
The event is scheduled to take place as follows:
• Date: 09 March 2016
• Time: 10h00
• Venue: Post ST John’s (Mthalala Village)
