THE FIGHT AGAINST THE UNDERAGE DRINKING CONTINUES – ECLB TO CONDUCT DRAMA AND DEBATE COMPETITION IN GRAHAMSTOWN

In its endeavour to alleviate underage drinking, Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) will host school debate and drama competition at Noluthando Community hall, Joza location.

ECLB continues to fight underage drinking in the Eastern Cape. For the first time, ECLB will be hosting drama and debate competitions among schools in Makana Local Municipality. These schools include, Ntsika, Mary Waters, Nombulelo, Nathaniel, Mrwetyana and khutliso Daniel high schools.

The program is organised by the ECLB in partnership with Department of Education and Shoprite. Debate and drama are used a platforms to intensify messages on the dangers of underage drinking.

The aim is to educate and influence behavioural change of young people that have inclination to abuse alcohol and sensitize them about the consequences of alcohol consumption. The main theme of the program is “BOOZE IS NOT FOR LEARNERS”.
